الإعصار أوفيليا يشتد قبالة جزر الأزور

(رويترز) – ذكر المركز الوطني الأمريكي للأعاصير أن الإعصار أوفيليا اشتد قبالة جزر الأزور في شمال المحيط الأطلسي ومن المتوقع أن يمر جنوبي الأرخبيل في وقت لاحق من يوم السبت قبل أن يتوجه صوب الجزر البريطانية.

وأضاف المركز أن أوفيليا، ووجوده في هذا الموقع نادر، تصل قوته إلى عاصفة من الدرجة الثالثة وتصاحبه رياح تبلغ سرعتها القصوى 185 كيلومترا في الساعة مما يجعله سادس أكبر أعاصير المحيط الأطلسي هذا العام.

وقال المركز ومقره ميامي “من المتوقع أن يصل أوفيليا إلى جزر الأزور كعاصفة مدارية قوية… تصاحبها رياح بقوة الإعصار”. وأضاف “من المتوقع أن يتبدد الإعصار في غضون أربعة أيام تقريبا من مروره على هذه الجزر”.
